Claude H. Bertheas was born in Hoboken, New Jersey on September 7, 1921 and by the time of the 1940 census he was living at 674 Bogart Road River Edge, New Jersey.

Claude H. Bertheas whose name is on the Original Wall Unit World War II list would have gone to Hackensack High School and possibly graduated around 1939.

Claude H. Bertheas served in the U.S. Navy First Class Petty Officer and in 1944 was on board the ship USS Doneff (DE-49). Claude H. Bertheas passed away at the age of 89 January 7, 2011 while living in Laguna Niguel, California.
